29 Hill House

A rare dip into an urban forest. The Hill House presents a common challenge when working in Seattle - slope. But from challenge emerges the opportunity to capture views, celebrate nature, and nestle a profound living experience into the most unlikely of places.

project: single family home | client: HyBrid Architecture (developer) | complete: 2017

note: project architect on this project while working at HyBrid Architecture

The bottom two floors are pulled back from the upper level facade on three walls. This establishes opportunities for protected outdoor space, connecting the interior of the home to the surrounding landscape.
